Libertad became the first side in this year's Copa Libertadores to win two matches as they came from behind to beat Uruguay's Nacional 2-1 on Thursday evening.
Vicente Sanchez set up Marcos Aguirre to give Nacional a first-half lead and the home side nearly doubled their advantage when Mathias Abero struck the post.
But Libertad hit back with two goals in six second-half minutes to seal victory.
First, Miguel Angel Samudio fired past goalkeeper Leonardo Burian after a swift counter-attack and then Mauro Andres Caballero deflected in a long-range strike to give the Paraguayan side the lead.
The victory for Libertad means they top Group Six with six points from two matches while Nacional are second with one win from their two outings.
The only other game on Thursday evening saw Godoy Cruz beat last season's runners-up Penarol 1-0 thanks to a Diego Nicolas Villar strike.
Both sides had chances in the first half but it wasn't until after the interval that Villar gave the Argentinian side the lead.
Penarol's efforts were hampered by a second yellow card to Alejandro Gonzalez on the hour mark and they were unable to draw level.
Last night's results:
Nacional 1-2 Libertad (Group 5)
Godoy Cruz 1-0 Penarol (Group 8)
